Treating Large Areas of Carpet:

Using a one gallon sprayer as shown, mix a minimum of 8 ounces of URICIDE® with 120 ounces of water. For severe odors or stains, use a higher ratio of formula to water.

URICIDE® is activated by water, so when mixing with water in a separate container, only mix together the amount that will be used. After activating URICIDE® with water, the bacteria life is approximately 48 hours, so only mix what you need.

Treating Smaller Areas on Carpet, Tile, Furniture, Fabrics, Car Interiors.

For spot spraying small areas, approximately 2 feet or less, dampen the soiled area first with a wet cloth or spray bottle.( Warm water is best but not necessary) After wetting the area with water, spray straight URICIDE® concentrate directly onto the dampened area. Do not wipe up the excess formula. Leave it on the soiled area and allow it to go to work.

 Treating Fish Oil Odors or Skunk Spray

Since the viscosity of Fish oil and Skunk Spray is so thick, a higher ratio or formula to water may be necessary. When treating these types of odors, URICIDE® can be mixed anywhere from a 1:3 to 1:1 ratio of  formula to water. When treating soiled clothing, let the clothing soak in a 5 gallon pail with the aforementioned mixture for approximately 12 hours if possible. After soaking, rinse with cold water, then run the clothing through a regular wash and rinse cycle using standard laundry detergent.

Will URICIDE® Cause Bleeding or Pile Distortion?

No. We have received feedback from many of our commercial cleaning contactors and they inform us that neither pile distortion or bleeding occurs when using URICIDE®. However, it is always a good practice to test a small area before cleaning the entire carpet.

Can URICIDE® Be Used in a 2.5  gallon Multi-Sprayer?

Absolutely! URICIDE® works great when used with a Multi-Sprayer. If the odors and stains are mild, mix approximately 20 ounces of URICIDE® and the rest water in the 2.5 gallon sprayer. For more severe odors and stains use 32 ounces of URICIDE®

For the most severe odors, URICIDE® can be mixed in a 1:1 ratio but that is typically not necessary.

Can I use a Standard Carpet Shampoo After Treating a Carpet with URICIDE®?

Yes, a carpet shampoo can be used after initially treating with URICIDE®, although it is usually not necessary.
